About Megan

Megan Woods, M.S., CCC-SLP

Megan Woods is a passionate and experienced speech-language pathologist dedicated to helping individuals of all ages communicate effectively. She earned her B.S. in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University in 2012 before pursuing her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Baylor University, graduating in 2014.

With a diverse background in both medical and educational settings, Megan spent four years working in a hospital, providing treatment for dysphagia, aphasia, voice, fluency, cognition, articulation, and language disorders. She then transitioned to the school setting, where she has spent the past eight years supporting students in their communication development. She has a special passion for working with language development, late talkers, and teens and adults focusing on vocational and life skills.

Beyond her work as an SLP, Megan shares her love of movement and expression as a dance instructor at Activated Arts. She is the founder of Adapted Arts, an inclusive dance program designed for dancers with special needs. Her commitment to accessibility and inclusion extends to her proficiency in American Sign Language, which she integrates into her work and teaching.

Above all, Megan loves being a mom to her three wonderful kids—Emmalynn, Bennett, and Hollyn—who inspire her every day.
